The Directorate of Education Baltistan (DOEB) is a newly established board responsible for conducting the annual exams for 5th and 8th grade students in Gilgit-Baltistan. All government schools in Gilgit are affiliated with DOEB for primary and middle school exams. Additionally, several private schools in Gilgit and surrounding areas, including Skardu, Shigar, Kharmang, Rondu, and Ghanche, are also linked to the Gilgit Board.
